Along with the federal bills to stop horse slaughter in the US AND the transportation of horses to Canada and Mexico for slaughter, Illinois has a bill that passed the State House a couple of weeks ago and is currently in committee in the State Senate. Anyone in the state reading this, please contact your State Senators. The rest of us need to continue to encourage our Representatives and Senators to pass the federal bills, HR 503 in the House and S 311 in the Senate.
